Yup, i was using a USB DOS stick. You bundled a pheonix bios updater in V2, but it failed saying it couldn't find the phenoix bios on my computer. so then i tried the fpw flasher with the new bios, but i still get the protected range registers issue.
Thanks for extracting that iso/img: for future reference, what tool did you use?
Ill try to see if i can flash the modded bios with the lenovo tools from the iso, if not, is it possible to modify the bios from lenovo (the $01E0000.FL1 file in that iso id guess) with the whitelist mod and then use their utilities to flash? Perhaps that would get past the protection register issues?
Thanks for the reply and PM, i'll think about what i wanna do next.
I ordered the programmer and clip. Should arrive middle of next week. I have a question in the mean time though: the t440p has a 8M and a 4M flash chip detected by the flashing program. The 8M is the bios correct? So the first modded bios.bin you gave me a few posts back is the correct file to flash to the 8M chip (W25Q64BV) on the mobo?
I just thought it was strange the lenovo encrypted bios from the CD was only 4M
Ok mate !
I will wait for your news

Bringing this thread back up from the dead as my laptop recently had a motherboard failure (unable to charge batteries).
The motherboard has been replaced and now I'm on a newer BIOS revision, I'm unable to re-use the old BIOS mod as it was specific to that motherboard so I'm here asking for a whitelist removal again so I can use my Broadcom WiFi / BT4 combo card again.
Here is a backup from my machine obtained via the SPI programmer:

Here is a link to the BIOS update version 2.34:

BDMaster If you could be so kind to provide me a whitelist removal for this BIOS that would be great.
Here are the changes / fixes that Lenovo added between the release I was running and this new one, not sure if any of those will impact the whitelisting efforts.
