GigaByte GA-945GZM-S2 rev. 6.6 & Pentium Dual-Core
#11
Show a screenshot of HWMonitor with full CPU load.
Then make and attach TXT report of CPU-Z.
BTW: you can add microcode by yourself - https://www.delidded.com/how-to-update-c...enix-bios/

I have tried to add microcode by myself using method 1 on your link, but got an error when tried to update BIOS.
So I provide information you wanted.

First i have to apologize. After my previous post I realize I made a mistake by trying to flash BIOS with original flash tool in DOS mode instead real DOS. Then I used GIGABYTE winflash tool and succeeded. Nothing has changed. Than I flashed BIOS with your mod. Nothing has changed again.
In original BIOS on Temperatures and Health page there was err on VID, which I thought to be due to not supported proc. But after flashing with mine and yours modded BIOSes it shows the same error. So I am pretty sure that motherboard cannot support required voltage for new 45nm processors. That's why Gigabyte didn't provide BIOS update for new processors initially. So I gave up and ordered on ebay Core2Duo E6700, which is fastest dual core, supported from this board.
Thank you for your help!

Hi! I've got this motherboard running a E5800 at 1.2 GHz, but my mobo is rev. 6.6. Can I flash DeathBringer mod for rev. 2.1 & 3.x for trying to run it at full speed? Is there any other way for rev. 6.6? I could not find any mod for this revision. thank you for your help!

No.
At first try to flash IdeaFix's mod.

Hi, and thanks on the quick reply. Sorry for the delay on this anwser, but only today I had access to the GA-945GZM-S2 machine.

I've flashed \REV6x\771\9gzms26.f2 from IdeaFix's mod. But the problem persists, E5800 still at 1.2 GHz. I updated this BIOS microcodes following the steps in the link from an early post in this thread, flashed it successfully, but had no improvements, still 1.2 GHz and Vcore state is FAIL on BIOS setup.

Make a screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
And show a screenshot of ThrottleStop (main window) with running TS Bench.

Alright. I'll have to install windows, currently running LXLE OS 18.04.3. As soon as I get this info I'll post here.
