Hi! Is there any requirements to use this product with specific models of laptops Aspire 5741g? For example, my model have Core i5 and Radeon HD 5470. Can I try to put it in my model?

Moved to unlocked /mod

And it works well with TM85

But i have a big request.

I want to manually set ram timing.
"not owerclock,
i have problem my 2x4GB ram
I think that the timing is not well recognized by the bios"
Possible somehow?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for fast response.
This work great.

Intel Turbo Boost is now activated in BIOS and working now.
Previous my CPU work maximum at 1.6 GHz, now with Turbo Boost goes at 2.8 GHz.
Many thanks Big Grin

I have a problem with my PB TM85.
Since I upgraded the CPU from i3-330M to i7-720QM my POST goes very slow. I'm blocked for some seconds at initial screen, then the system starts up normally.
With a SSD I spent more time waiting for POST than to startup Windows.
Note: I'm using a optical drive bay adapter to use another HDD as second drive, the SSD is installed in HDD slot.

I can't understand If the problem with BIOS startup is caused by the new CPU or the optical drive bay adapter, or the SSD too, cause I've installed them toghether. I've changed the SSD with a new one and the problem remains.

Can this BIOS solve it?

I'm using the 1.23 version from Packard Bell, and i7 Turbo Mode is already working properly (as shown from Intel Turbo Boost Monitor software).
From BIOS updates notes in P.B. site I can't read any mention about updates for new CPUs, except for the i7-640.

Wow, UEFI on this lapotp? I thought the development died after the 1st unlocked release.
Please tell more details before I flash it.
I would like to see pictures.
What are the differences between the two files?
How do I flash a .fd bios file?

PS: Is it safe to flash on the 5741 Intel version? (It just doesn't have the dGPU)
I have now camiloml's bios and modded the boot logo myself to the steam logo (I like it), unfortunately, low pic res and only black/white.

PS 2: I have an eGPU setup that apparently doesn't like nvidia GPUs at all. My 5741 doesn't boot with any GPU and crashes with nvidia GPUs when I switch the wifi card with the PE4L. It only works on AMD cards. Is there a possibility to make it able to boot with the eGPU? I tried different bios versions from the acer website, none of them worked.

PS 3: How can I recover if the flash is bad? We don't have something like crashfree bios or dual bios.

And for the people who want more performance from their intel iGPU, take a look here:
Boom!

Default memory speed: 533 MHz
I reached: 544.4 MHz
Default core speed: 500 MHz
I reached a stunning: 711.2 MHz

How?
Check Intellimodder32's drivers (Facebook). They boost the clock speed somehow, but it actually improves performance by a few frames.
It would have been nice if we could overclock the bus speed to 135 MHz or even 140 MHz
