Hello Aldo,

I appears that the Acer Aspire 7740G has a Phoenix BIOS that has already been modded by Ahmed Hossam. If you would like, we can use this modified BIOS as the recovery image so you get a recovered notebook and a BIOS mod at the same time Smile

We will first try following these steps: https://www.bios-mods.com/bios-recovery/...-recovery/ This involves a program called CRISIS Recovery that is installed in some notebooks. It may or may not work for you. Try this process with the BIOS mod named JV70127.WPH first. If that doesn't work, then rename the BIOS mod to BIOS.WPH.

Don't worry about the step that mentions "this third paragraph". PhoenixTool does not provide a BIOS recovery name.

For the last part where it tells you to press a key combination on the keyboard, try these if that doesn't work: https://www.bios-mods.com/wiki/CRISIS_Re...mbinations

If CRISIS doesn't work, we will have to use a hardware programmer (they are about $10 USD). I will recommend one if CRISIS doesn't work.

Let me know how it goes. Wishing for the best!

!!!!!PLEASE READ!!!!!! Our Ukrainian friends are undergoing atrocities right now and need support. There are two things you can do for starters:

1.) Donate to one of various organizations offering medical, military, and psychological support to those impacted: Support Organizations

2.) Combat misinformation on social media.

Also, please feel free to PM me if I have not replied again about your BIOS mod request after 5 days.
