[REQUEST] Gigabyte Aorus 15G KC BIOS unlock (FB07)
#1
Hello. I want to get my BIOS unlock to get undervolting and other processor control options. I have some issues with EDP throttling while battery is charging, and want to see if I can fix the issue with an unlocked BIOS. Please explain the process to me step by step as I've never done it before.

Do you know how to boot a usb stick as uefi mode on this laptop? If you know how to , i can help you out to edit bios menu.

First you could do a test ,prepare a usb stick and format to fat32 ,download this and unpack then copy folder EFI to usb stick. Reboot system and boot this usb device as uefi mode ,then tell me what you see.

I think I can manage that. Will try to do it now and I will let you know soon. Thank you.

I disabled all secure boot variables to be able to boot it. Here is the screen that I got.

You got it ! now you already know how to access to GRUB shell ,we will do variable changes under this environment. Then you just can re-flash the mod.

Forgot to ask you ,does the bios dump you provided was made from Intel FPT tool ? if yes, try this mod then respond to the result.

I made a dump with a tool I found in other threads, it was a f14.rar file. I extracted it and ran a file dump.bat. Was I supposed to do it like that, or to do it differently?

This is it in the picture below:

I figured out that it was the tool you talked about and did it! Everything is okay, I enabled Overclocking in BIOS options and now I'm able to make changes. Here is the picture below of my unlocked ThrottleStop FIVR. Thank you man. I've donated for your nice work.

@Tomolinooo

Yes, you can. Disable Secure boot is only in order to let we can access uefi environment, if now you didn't need go to uefi anymore ,you could revert it.
