HP MCP61PM-HM (Nettle2) 5.27 With Unlocked Overclocking Options
Does anyone know if this Nettle2 board supports RAID5 in MediaShield setup screen?
I have succesfully used for a few months a RAID0 array (with 2 old 80 GB disks), and now I wish to build a new array with 3 disks (the existing 2x 80 GB plus another 160 GB disk). Is that possible with this board?

I saw in the Nettle3 thread that its onboard RAID controller supports RAID5, does this Nettle2 support that too?

Thanks!

@losikid -- I finally have Phenom II and Athlon II working on the Nettle3 very nicely, please give me a little more time to test some new CPU support on the nettle2.

Thanks,
TheWiz

Did you ever get it tested...

I'm looking to run a phenom x4 9750

I finally got this board back in my testing rig setup, so I will have to go back and run some tests. Please send me a PM in a few days to remind me about it.

Ok thanks...will do on the PM

Right now my single core is barely pushing my cad and/or photo editing programs. It'll be nice to get a quad core installed.

Just want to ask, if i continue flashing the bios through HP setup in windows and my computer fails to boot, how can i recover my genuine bios back?

EDIT: if i use a usb instead of a floppy (dont hv floppy drive) would it work? also i have windows xp bootable cd, can i use that to recover the real bios?

Also there are two version of bios, one is the one you posted in the OP but there's another on the next page, which ones better?

Hi people,

I'm about to purchase a Phenom X4 9150e, an AM2+ processor with 65W TDP. I think it might work, because I've read on the MCP61PM-HM specifications that it supports various AM2 CPUs, up to 89W TDP. But it does not mention anything about AM2+ compatibility...

I've read that this chip is backwards compatible with the AM2 standard, but can anybody please confirm if this quad-core CPU will work on this motherboard? Or will it be stuck at 2 cores?

Thanks!

Hello,

I really appreciate all the work you guys have put into unlocking the bios for this board.

Is it possible for you to release the abit_unlocked.bin with higher voltages?

The max it goes up to is 1.25V and my CPU (AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor 2.6GHz) supports 1.30V and 1.35V stock I believe.

I've been tweaking my settings for the past couple days and have managed to get it up to 3.0GHz at 1.25 V, however I am curious as to whether increasing the voltage to 1.30V/1.35V will make my system more stable or allow me to overclock further.

Thanks.
