Hey guys,
I bought a new wifi-card (Intel 7260-AC) and need to mod the bios for using it.
My Laptop is a Lenovo G 500 s with i5. Momentally Bios is V 2.02.
The ROM was created with FPT_Backup_Bios:
http://www.file-upload.net/download-8944...4.ROM.html
If possible, please activate advanced Options in my bios.
Need anything else to mod?
greets from Germany, Fox

Hi.
Is this bios dedicated just Foxhounds computer?
I have Lenovo g500s with i3, Intel Centrino Wireless-N 135 and the same bios version.
I want to install Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235.
Can I use the BIOS prepared by you for Foxhound? Is it safe?
Regards

Hey thanks for great work,
bios works fine, I will test the new wifi card tomorrow, when it arrives.
But one question:
Cane you give me the modded bios without advanced options? I saw that there are no helpfully options for me and before i make wrong settings...

Hey BDMaster,
I bricked my bios when i tried to flash your whitelist-bios to my notebook Lenovo G 500s. When the notebook starts, it only tries to boot from Atheros network card, no possibility to come into bios.
I tried to hold the PoerButton for over 30 sec. and I detached the bios-battery over night. The boot sector or how its called seems to be okay, because I can turn the display on/off with F9.
Now I try to recover my Insyde bios with usb-stick and FN+B/R. The CPU-Cooler turn on maxed out as described in internet and the usb-stik led turns on.
The problem is, that the led of the stick glows for some time, then turn off and restard to glow, this on/off never stop, neither I wait over 20 mins..
I used AndyP's SLIC tools to get the right filename for the biosfile on the stick, the tool gave out: "VILG1X64.F?"
Then I copied the biosfile to the usb stick several times with dirrefent filenames and fileendings:
VILG1X64. fd/rom/bin/bi
VILG1 . fd/rom/bin/bi
VILG1X . fd/rom/bin/bi
1X64 . fd/rom/bin/bi
VILG1X64. fd/rom/bin/bi
X64 . fd/rom/bin/bi
VILG . fd/rom/bin/bi
Any ideas what filename I need and what fileending? And is it normal, that there are no speaker sounds, only the maxed-out cpu-cooler?
I also tried to use the .rom file from lenovo's .exe file bios update from official download centre.
Thank you!

Hi friend,
your Bios has name VILG1X64.FD
Your Bios is Capsulated so You have to use version Decapsulated here :
http://rghost.net/55936464
But I want to ask if laptop can boot from USB to DOS or into Windows if You mount original WWan Card ?
Cause if It works You can flash your Bios Backup and recover your laptop, I will check the NWL version, meanwhile.
Let me Know
