[REQUEST] Dell Inspiron 1501 WiFi Whitelist Removal
#1
Hello, I would be very grateful if someone could do a WiFi Whitelist Removal + SLIC 2.1 for this laptop:

-Model: Dell Inspiron 1501
-Bios revision: 2.6.3 A16
-Bios Download Link: http://ftp.us.dell.com/bios/Win1501263.EXE
-Current WiFi card: Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN 802.11g
-Card to be installed: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 (62205ANHMW), Dell P/N: 0X9JDY

I already have a SLIC 2.1 version (rghost.net/38306886), but still can't find a BIOS with WiFi Whitelist removed.
Thank you in advance !!

I've upgraded the wireless card inside of my laptop however I have ran into some issues.

I receive this error in Device Manager "This device cannot start. (code 10)" I believe this is due too a bios whitelist. Unlike Lenovo however, I do not receive any error messages or warnings during boot regarding unsupported or unauthorized hardware.

BIOS file: https://www.dell.com/support/home/ca/en/cabsdt1/drivers/driversdetails?driverId=R174470&osCode=BIOSA&productCode=inspiron-1501

Original WiFi card: Dell Wireless 1490 Dual Band WLAN Mini-Card - PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4312&SUBSYS_00071028&REV_01

New WiFI card: Intel® WiFi Link 5100 AGN - PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4237&SUBSYS_12118086&REV_00

I've tried using phoenix tools and hex workshop to edit the Module/BIOS but it's all way over my head and I don't want to [censored] it up, I cant seem to figure it out either. If there is some way to add my device to the whitelist or some way to remove the whitelist entirely, I would greatly appreciate any help with either.

Kind regards,
Kilo
