Hello friends,
is it ok if I just flash someone else's modded BIOS (v. CN99WW)? Or do I really have to upload a backup first?

Bios Mod is based on Bios Backup so flashing Others You will ereditate all
problems loosing all your laptop original Data = CLONE and if You get a Bios
PWD will be a ig Problem !
So use your Bios Backup to get the own Bios Mod !

Thank you so much for the answer. I've ran into some issues though:
Backup tools 9 runs fine, but finishes with an error: cannot find the path specified. I guess it's because I run polish version of Windows, which has different path to Desktop.
Universal Bios Backup on the other hand gives an error: Cannot identify the bios.
Both ran as admin of course

Ok frind,
the first one is important so unpack It and rename easy like tool and move into C: HD root place then
open a Comand Prompt with Admin Rights and get a CLI window C:\ !
Run his comands :

cd \
cd C:\tool
start.bat

It will work manualy and at the end You'll find a results.rar file or into same folder tool or on Desktop !
If It will not work then You can use directly from the CLI window this comand , but have to find the
right verion of FPT for your laptop :

cd \
cd c:\tool
cd 8.1.51.1476
fptw.exe -f biosbackup.bin -bios

You have to do for this subdir You will find into folder :

8.1.51.1476
9.1.2.1000
9.5.14.1724
etc.
Until You got a reply that FPT woked fine then upload this file and let me know
which FPT version is right for You (I know It could be the 8.1.51.1476

You can try this version too of Backup_Tools :

Thank you again for response.
I've ran into errors yet again, and I think it might be OS-related: I've updated my BIOS on a Windows installation made on previous BIOS version and the OS reported all sorts of weird bios-related things. I know this is a long shot, but that's what my intuition tells me. I'll try making a clean install of the OS and post here again Smile

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, I could whitelist removed Bios test yet because I am still waiting on my wifi card. I flashed my BIOS and it came at the conclusion the message that it is identical. Is that okay? Sobal I installed my new card I give feedback.

Thank you first.

YES is ALL OK !!! Wink
