I'd tried this mod, but it not worked for me (BSOD "The BIOS in this system not fully ACPI compliant" at OS starting).  Probably this method is not suitable to my computer... If you think of something, let me know. In any case, thank you for help!

Hi everyone, i would like to bypass the system fan check, because i'm getting the "Cooling Fan (902)" error and the fan is working fine.
this bios:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50586.exe

is from:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...1797#N5092

which was the last BIOS for this machine.

I can't start the computer because of this "Cooling Fan (902)" could you please help me. Thank you all, and have a nice day.

Hello,

I have the same computer/BIOS as "campianradu" and the same problem :/
I installed the "HP DV6_DV7_INTEL_sp50586_363C_3658_F1D_SLIC_NWL_ADV", it's flashed OK, but OS won't load anymore (BIOS not full ACPI supported error).

The problem i have now is that, i cant recover the BIOS with "Win+B" USB procedure.
And yes USB key name is HP_TOOLS and ive tried several different BIOS-es and also several different names.
Im pretty sure that the USB key is read, but as it appears none of the files are recognized.

My main question would be: what should be the name of the *.bin file ??
- "363CF1D.bin" ?
- "3658F1D.bin" ?
- "363C.bin" ?
- "3658.bin" ?
- "365C.bin" ?

none of these work...

Thanks

Try to open your BIOS (363CF1D.bin or 3658F1D.bin) with Phoenixtool. It say which recovery filenames should be.
