in this list: https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc...uj19us.txt
there are so many versions prior to 2.25, but are confused about which version to install ...

in a portion of the notes it says:

(With the Hynix on-board memory installed: )
System cannot be downgraded BIOS to the version before 2.25.
(With the Samsung on-board memory installed: )
System cannot be updated/downgraded BIOS to the version before 2.23.

I'm not finding anything about Hynix or Samsung on-board memory installed...

can you please advise me?

So I am sorry but only using an HW SPI Programmer We can rewrite the Bios Mod
into your Eeprom Chip !
look here :

Manufacturer: Lenovo
Model: T440s
BIOS Revision: 2.30 (GJET80WW)
BIOS Type: UEFI
BIOS Download: Page(http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products...kpad-t440s) Direct (https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc...uj19us.iso)

The support page only has the updated BIOS (2.33) and not the current one I'm using.
The current WWAN installed (and approved) is a Intel 7260 BT ACBGN. However I plan to install a Azurewave AW-CE123H, which is not approved.
I'm only have OSX installed so if I need to copy the BIOS will I have to do it with a different tool?

Hello BDMaster,

I am requesting for your help to remove the whitelist from my Lenovo T440 bios. I have read my bios chip using an SPI programmer and my BIN file is linked here:

http://rghost.net/8HmwlyHyf

Please help me to modify my BIN file. If this works, you can look forward to my donation. Thank you very much!

Hello BDMaster, thanks! I have a question. Why do I need to run the backup_tools.exe? What does it do? Can I just flash the patched file using my spi programmer without using backup_tools.exe?

Pexta, I tried using the clip but it did not work. The read is unstable. I had to desolder the chip.
