Ok friend,
It's better than before, but with some errors yet !
I can patch anyway this one and You can rewrite back but I cannot be sure all will works well !
Let me know what to do . . .
regards

P.S. I can suggest a trick to check Firmware almost partialy !
Please use this tool to get a result file of this Bios Version (78CN25WW) and upload It here
then You will find into the result file the Bios Region file which can use to compare into Firmware
So extract from Firmware the chunk from 0x380000h to 0x800000h and save as Bios File .bin
then using an HEXEditor (the same used to extract Bios File) do the compare !

Your Brain . . . . It's the best tool U can use ! Wink
Don't FLASH the Bios Mod if You get a Size Alert, You risk a Brick !!!

Why is it that the extracted firmware has issues/errors? Why did I get different results reading it these two times? I know the firmware won't match the original firmware, since the firmware on the chip is patched to remove the whitelist.

Lastly, if I do use the patched version of this extracted firmware that you'd make, what are the potential problems...?

I think you are right...do you have any recommended clips? I've been fiddling with it for several hours now, and I can't get it to detect the chip again (it's really hit or miss).

It's simple ! Just save Firmware File then apply again the Clip and redo the file read
then compare them !
When You get the file equal then these are the rights (may be) !
I can suggest to buy the best one = 3M !
