Hello, I can't run it on Windows7 x64
I there any version for x64?
like i said in my post, just download the flashing program from lenovo's website for the 64bit edition and copy over the firmware from camiloml's download and you should be set.
obviously make sure to delete the firmware that came from lenovo otherwise it could load the unmodified one and it wont let you
The 64bit version of the flash program from Lenovo is not unpacking to the folder, so I can't change anything in Lenovo frimware as it's executing straigt away.

here you are, i will keep this up until you download it.
please let me know once you get it

So am I supposed to replace the PIWG2209.bin file with the .ROM file? If so, how does that process work? I tried changing the name of camiloml's file to "PIWG2209.bin" (making the original .old) and Insydeflash gave me a error saying the file size was incorrect.

i would have just deleted the one from lenovo and placed the modded one in there but that should be fine.
does the program open normally and then after that does it show you that message?
you may have to edit the platform file, just double click it and change the values to bypass all checks, this should let you install the bios
there are different sections when you get to: [Bios_Version_Check]
the default flag will be =1 you'll want to change that to =0
you might have to address other parts as well.
good luck

Maybe I'm missing something, but I've downloaded the .exe from camilomil and run it. I'm then presented with a file called (LENOVO-40CN07WW_V3.06_UlkMenus.exe). I run the .exe file and I'm given a file called (LENOVO-40CN07WW_V3.06_UlkMenus.rom). I've used WinRAR to open the InsydeFlash utility I downloaded from Lenovo (InsydeFlasha_x64(v2.09) and modified the [Bios_Version_Check] fieild are required. I assume that I am supposed to rename the "LENOVO-40CN07WW_V3.06_UlkMenus.rom"? To what exaxctly I'm not sure. I renamed it PIWG2209.FD and it has an error "Error: EC file size input error!". I try rename it PIWG2209.bin it says "There isn't any ROM file in this directory." If I leave the file named as-is,, I also get "There isn't any ROM file in this directory".

the one i posted is for the g570 the version your posting is for the g770
have you tried downloading the 64bit from lenovo? im almost sure it wont work if you replace the bios for the g770 on the content folder i provided
the g570 uses 40cn23ww
i should also state the one they got posted on lenovo's website is 40cn06ww, that might make some minor difference

Thanks again. Let me back up and say that I am trying to technically downgrade a g570 to an earlier BIOS to allow me to use an Intel Pro Wireless 5100 card. I downloaded the Insydeflash utility from Lenovo and I found the following BIOS files that I thought were for the g570. I've also tired a 40CN28WW.rom file that I'm certain is for the G570. When I add that file I get the followign error: "EC file size input error". I think maybe I simply don't have the right file for v.2.09. Does anyone have the correct file? It seems to no longer be available from our friend.

Hello,
Similar problem - I have a Lenovo G570 which won't accept the new Intel Centrino 6200 I've installed.
I am currently running 2.14 and 64 bit Windows 7. I can upgrade to the newest BIOS so I'm in the same position as imental.
I've read in other threads that the BIOS update needs to correspond with your OS (i.e. 32 or 64 bit). Could you provide a whitelist-free BIOS for me to update to that works with win 7 64?
I'd be very happy to make a donation in respect of the effort; this is beyond my abilities!
Cheers[/align]
