Will try to use your new bios.

Please, can you add the NvME support for using M2 disks with our mobo?
Thank you!

Added NVMe support using this manual.

Download modified 3802 BIOS from HERE.

I just flashed this BIOS, it's working fine, but I don't have a PCI-E SSD, so - please, try it yourself using info from the manual's section 6. "Installation of the OS onto the NVMe SSD".

Good luck Wink

I just want to buy the new M2 disk. I will write back after tests.

Thanks a ton for keeping up with this board. I do have a request, though - is there any way to alter the BIOS further to address Spectre vulnerabilities? I think ASUS is only going back to the Z97s.

EDIT: Evidently doing this could lead to beaucoup BSODs, so never mind.

Will it work on ASUS ASUS P8Z68-V PRO (none GEN3 ver) ? I think it's the same mobo

Intel releases new Spectre microcode update for Sandy/Ivy Bridge!

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 BIOS 3802 with SLIC 2.1, NVMe and all OROMS/LAN/VGA updated.

Used UBU Tool version 1.69.16 and PhoenixTool 2.73 (for adding SLIC).

Fully tested by my self using Asus EZ Flash 2 utility.

Download modified 3802 BIOS from HERE.

GE - refers to supports for server silicon (Server Adapters)

Info from: https://communities.intel.com/thread/98013

I don't think so. GEN3 = PCIe v3.0 support. ASUS ASUS P8Z68-V PRO (none GEN3 ver) supports PCIe v2.0, not v3.0. I'm sure that their BIOSes are not the same.

PROBLEM: When I try to load RaYMaN's latest BIOS from the EZ Flash 2.0 inside the UEFI bios, it reports that the file is not an EFI Bios file. It also cannot read the Model, Date or Version of the modded file. I have re-downloaded the file, same effect. I have renamed the file to "modded.rom" same effect.

Currently running (for years) ZzBloopzZ's modded Bios from post#7 (his original, not newer one)

My system:
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4.6 Ghz AIRCOOLED and ROCK stable for years even in 85deg room
Giant copper heatsink + fan (don't remember which, but major brand)
16Gb (4x4Gb) DIMM DDR3 Corsair
OCX Vertex3 256GB SSD (boot drive)
2x WD 2TB data drives configured as Raid Mirrors

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
Intel Core i5-2500K OC @ 4.6Ghz
16GB 2133Mhz DDR3 (4x4GB) G.SKILL Ripjaws Z
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0
Sound Blaster Z PCIe -> SPDIF DTS -> MidiLand S4 8200 v2.0 Receiver
240GB OCZ Vertex 3 SATA III MLC + 2x 2TB Seagate Constellation (RAID 1)

I don't know what your problem is.

Can read now. Mea Culpa
