Cheers mate, we are just starting to get the table up to date for all these boards. Are you able to be a tester? If so, I have a release to send to you (you should ahve a spare chip in order to be a tester)

Thanks, and you are now added as a member,
TheWiz

Welcome Jurgen. Good to hear that you have a BIOS (re)programmer. TheWiz is doing his best to AM3 support for many of the M2N-series of ASUS motherboards and the more people who have the ability to recover from beta flashes that have a higher probability of 'black-screening' the better of. Your contributions and testing will be greatly appreciated by the hoards of people out there with M2N boards looking to upgrade to the latest AMD CPU offerings.

Hello,
Eager to get a Phenom II X4 955BE in my M2N-SLI Deluxe I was unlucky with the bios update.
Black screen and fans on full...
I found another board, supposed to be broken, but this works like new and also updated the bios.
So tomorrow I get myself the X4 955BE.
This leaves me with a perfect board with a broken soldered on bios chip.
Is it wise to replace this with a socket and removable chip?
It would be perfect for testing and hotflashing.
Where to get the chip and socket cheap?!
With kind regards, Sopo

First off, I need some more info, you may have not destroyed your board yet. First off, what steps did you take to flash, and are you POSITIVE you flashed 1802AM3.BIN. Second, are you positive that is the right model ASUS board.

When you say you found another board, is it also an ASUS?

A lot of the different revs of the ASUS boards were soldered and unsoldered. If you are good with a sodder, you can order the chip @ biosman.com, and I will have to find a place where they sell the sockets. If not, mnany local PC shops can do it. First and foremost though, that BIOS update has worked for many people, so if you can confirm all of the above we will try to recovery your computer. Please read in ur ASUS manual about ASUS Crashfree bios, which is the foirst step to recovery.

Answer the above, and hopefully we can get you back on your feet Big Grin
