How do I downgrade? Acer only has flashers for v1.13.

Hi,

I also have the same laptop with the same specs. I was wondering if you can try to unlock the latest bios version for the laptop.

My laptop is  running the bios revision 5, version 1.25

I already ran the tool and here is the rom file it produced:
     https://www.dropbox.com/s/h9e79c5iivtkrv...p.rom?dl=0

Here is the link to the bios file from Acer:
     http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...ER&SC=PA_6

(By the way, should I have posted a new request or is it fine here? Also is it OK to attach files instead of pasting a link?)

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I tried running the Universal Bios Backup application, but it "Can not identify the BIOS".

I just checked the results file and noticed the same errors too.

It just hit me, but would the errors possibly have something to do with the installation being UEFI based? Windows is currently installed on a GPT partition table and that may be why I am getting errors.

If so, I will swap out my hard drive and install Windows on an MBR partition and run the tools again.

I'll post my results here sometime this week.

I couldn't wait so I went ahead and made the changes. This time both tools worked.

Here are the files:

http://rghost.net/75khRv6HJ

I did see the same errors occurred though, so that might mean there isn't any luck for me Sad
I'll wait on your answers though.

Thanks.

BDMaster: I have downgraded to v1.11. Could you relink that bios backup tool?
