[REQUEST] Lenovo G500 (78CNxxWW) Whitelist Removal
Well, I'm currently typing this message with my new WiFi card installed under the 5 GHz band which I never thought was possible before discovering this forum. I'd like to give a huge thank you to Sovem and BD Master for helping me every step of the way and tolerating my pestering of questions which were probably basic. The bluetooth is also working fantastic.

Cheers Gentleman and thank the Lord for your existence

Ok, here are the results - but it encountered some errors.
I updated the original BIOS to v2.03 - there were no issues during update and afterwards.

You can use the Sleep Bug too . . .

Unpack the Bios Mod and copy the "modified" folder into C: HD root place !
Then open Command Promt with Admin Rights (CLI window C:\), put your laptop
into Sleep Mode (just close the Lid) and then Wacke-Up It (reopen the Lid),
after this execute these comands from CLI window :

cd \

cd modified

fptw -f bios.bin -bios

(or fptw64 for Windows x64)

Hey!
It doesn't seem to be working. I tried the Sleep bug, but no luck. Could it have something to do with Windows 10?

I did some research and managed to create a bootable USB with HP USB Disk Format Utility and bootme folder.
After that, I restarted my mom's laptop and selected 1st boot device to be the USB pendrive and typed "flash.bat". Everything worked fine and after the restart it booted into Windows without any issues.
Unfortunately, I'll get the new card on Tuesday - it's an Intel Wireless-AC 3160 and it's a 1x1 card, the same as the original Broadcom BCM4365. I don't fully understand what that means, but I know for certain that an Intel Wireless-N 7260 card doesn't work (that's a 2x2 card). I'll update on Tuesday.
Here is the result I got after the update:
