[REQUEST] Toshiba Satellite C850 & C855 BIOS Unlock

Unfortunately I can't get my desired result from the new options in the BIOS. I've tried every relevant setting.

From what I gather, I must edit the EC or embedded controller firmware. So unless someone here can help with that, there is no hope.

Anyway, I've sent my thanks to BDMaster in the form of a small donation, for taking interest in our petty concerns.

And to R1skNt: Don't dive up on your laptop, recovery of Insyde bios seems quite common. Just gotta figure out the correct key presses and file name I suppose.
Here's a possible filename: PLCSF8 <-- That's the motherboard model for my version of C850, maybe the same as your's, seemingly you can't check your's atm, unless it's written on the board itself.

Edit: Here's a few names to try.
FX64.fd
10FX64.fd <-- Seems to be the one to try first
PLCSF8.fd
bios.fd
BIOS.fd
insyde.fd

Also I've read that some have had success with Fn + F or just F on toshiba laptops.

tried this too and nothing happened just black screen actually the screen off it did not work with me
it seems is the video card died

If You cannot Recover We have to use the SPI Programmer !

Hello, i have a Toshiba L850-13Q - serial PSKDNE with dedicated GPU AMD HD7670M and a Intel Graphic Card from i5-2450m but i can't used it because the BIOS don't have that option to switch the graphics.

My question is if i a hacked BIOS can activate my integrated Graphic Card from CPU, like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mNsPxnGaH0

But before i flash it, i want to know what are the chances to brick my BIOS and what are the chances to recover if it's bricked?

If it's bricked, i must change the MB or just the BIOS chip?

it has insyde h20 bios and i flashed latest v. 6.80 to it

I tried to unlock hidden features in it and I failed couldn't make it happen... what I aim to unlock is adjusting dedicated VRAM for my

integrated intel hd 3000 graphics and to be able to enable or disable automatic fan speeds

any help is well appreciated !!! thanks in advance for ur efforts to help.. even small tips on how to unlock such features may help me a

lot... I searched much but nothing helped... when I find anything I will post here immediately so others can benifit from it...

Ok my friend,
I will reveal a little trick to check the Bios Release !
Download your Bios (You posted It) :

link to my bios: support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/bios-20140122110652.zip

Then use WinRar v.5.20 or above and unpack all, so You'll get two Bioses :

F.exe (fro Win7) and F8.exe (for Win8)

Now We can Download the L850 Bios from the link posted for Donovan6k :

And Unpack all same anner and You'll get two Bioses :

F.exe (fro Win7) and F8.exe (for Win8)

But We are not sutisfacted so We will use an HexEditor with COMPARE functions and
We will check the files to see if They are the same and then We can say that They are
equal !!!
You can do by yourself my friend and don't thrust in none then when You will certain
of It You wil try to flash It !
Now I want to say another trick when You are not sure about an Original Bios if It's
for your laptop then You can try to flash as there is Always a check about Platform
and if It's not for your laptop You will get an error !
So use the Original Bios on which You are uncerted and try to flash if It's not for your
Laptop You'll get an error certainly !
