Yes. It is just one unique module. To find it click "action" > "search" > "text", make sure "Unicode" search option is ticked and search for "Setup". If for some reason there are too many occurencies to check each, click "action" > "search" > "GUID" and type 899. Search in header.

It's a step forward tho.

now we're talking in a one logical language  Cool

This was and is exactly what i've expect to go forward with..

Let's see what's happen  Dodgy next.

thanks your patiente.

eureka   Big Grin

we got it:

[Image: confirmed-unique-setup.png]

Rolleyes

[Image: extract-body.png]
cause a "Extract Body" does not show in UEFITOOL

the only what we see for " Extracting " a corpus from is..

Export as at least in .csv format from UEFITOOL.

but we dont need that in .csv format.

we need morethan a .binary file from the setup extraced

so ?

this goes as next step allso with the IFR tool.

but before we start we the ifr tool and 'd like to read the data out,

we had to extract the binary's [setup] files.

next edit;

okay we've found so far;

[Image: header-extraction-found.png]

extraction..

so the search algorhythm goes like;

with "Double Clicking" on the already shown " Setup" ..
- while you doing this.., you see at the upper highlighting > Directly < the Setup header
there is that longcalled [ Setup ] for the Extraction.as Binary save.

see here;

[Image: next-step-to-DXE-and-compressed.png]

i just saying.. this is real fun for me now  Cool

incase of not functional showing your IFR ( not working ) this link to Coderush ( just click it ) may helps

anyway: ill show this screenshot from him here tho;

[Image: coderushs-screenshot.jpg]

Maxinator500;

here is the question now:

coderush saying for Freeform Subtype.. this works well as IFR Extracted..

but as ive done explicitely as he and you mentioned to follow as described..,

PE32 /+ ° image section and

DXE Dependancy Section

comes with IFR's result like;

[Image: new-setup-wholebin-1.png]

but the freeform subtype is working;

[Image: freeform-Subtype-guid-1.png]
so at this point i'm ending for real !
no IFR Extractions for PE32 /+ ° image section and DXE Dependancy Section
possible !

Cool

You may continue unconditionally. This method will work out.
Use freeform section for IFR extraction and PE32 section for further edits according to the tutorial.

I've done this hundreds of times and I want to say you're almost there! I could do it again if I wasn't traveling on my vacation now. If you succeed, this discussion may turn out to be a guide for someone else.

Good Day  Smile

so we are here at the last step ( i think so ).

Result of IFR Subform...

[The Next Screenshot is outtaked from the Tutorial > Ami Aptio UEFI ... < thread:

link:
picture description and just only as picture description link ( click here )

Now a compare between him and me:

Screenshot:

[Image: compare-hxd-with-my-and-coderushs.png]

what we see here is a Difference about that what it not should be.

! but we are mentioned to do that Alternatively to go forward with !

cause the ifr extraction doesn't let us extract the other 2 bodytypes.
The Freeform Subtype is now the only way to work with, as we see.
if someone has a [Better Alternative] idea.. for extraction that 2 other Bodytypes for the IFR's, please post it.. it wont bite it tho  Big Grin

so where we go now at all maxinator ?

You need to open the IFR file in a text viewer. MS Notepad, for example. This is what IFR is intended for. A lot will fall into place.

PE32 section of Setup module has to be edited, not the freeform. Copy its body using UEFITool to a working folder and open in a hexadecimal editor. The IFR thing is just a by-product with which there will be a minimum of interaction.
But in general we are still sticking to the way BIOS was unlocked in the tutorial.

so at this point, we're here sticking;

and i had flashed that many times before..

could that bios corrupted ?

cause i got here a hint for that could be as > full sticker ° for those all workarounds

see:

[Image: Memory-Hint-new.jpg]

hmm..

but as the order you wished for;

looks like this extracted;

PE32 section of Setup Extraction in HxD Tool:

The computer works, so what does this on-screen hint have to do with your prejudgement? Did you notice something amiss?

very good. Why not go ahead and start searching for for menu enable-flags? Did you catch how to do this or should I explain in detail? HxD has an option of search.

I've tried my best.
Please, use Ctrl + F key HxD tool shortcut to open search menu and find a binary string according to the following illustration.

This is an example.

> Perfect, i love it.

But as you already said;

if you do NOT have access to that..

ive tried.. to extract that as pure text decoded file from hxd..

but no, it's extracting just the PE32_Section as a .data file

so what ?

IFR TOOL doesnt accept that extracted data from it.

or do i got to edit that in hxd before i would save that as a readable IFR-Text to edit in " Tutorial-wise ? "

sorry iam doing here miles away something completely wrong or.. idno.. why the hek that IFR wont's read that ..t out ^^ ?
