There will be one single BIOS chip that is actively in use. Rarely, you will find computers that have two (one real, one backup). These are pretty cool, but you probably only have the one. I said "chipS" because there might be several SOIC8 chips on your motherboard, only one of which is the real BIOS chip. You can look up the model numbers to get an idea of what kind of chips they are.

Any news on the hardware programmer? No hurries if you have it but haven't gotten a chance to open up the notebook.

Hello, I would like to request the same thing also , I have asus tuf f15 FX506LU with i7-10870H and 1660 TI , please tell me what i have to do in order to get this modded bios because i need it really bad the temps on this laptop gets to 96+ when opening any game or benchmark or any 3d design program like 3d max or autocad , i bought this laptop mainly for 3d modeling and render and it would be a huge help if i can get the temps better than 95 C and up . 

bios version 309 , undervolt locked cuz of intel and i need to be able to undervolt so i can reduce the temp and i would like to have full access just like the other guys please.

Yikes! Those are very high temps! Hopefully we can reduce them and possibly even increase performance at the same time.

Versions 306 and higher of this BIOS image contain the undervolt lock. Downgrading the BIOS before a mod will be difficult, so I think the best courses of action here would be the following:

1.) I will compare the 305 and 306 versions of the BIOS image and see if I can figure out what locks undervolting. Maybe I can remove the lock in an actual BIOS dump of your computer after you perform this second step. Regardless of whether this I can remove the undervolt lock, I can still unlock advanced settings.

2.) In the meantime, you will need to order the CH341A hardware programmer (not all computers require this, but this one does). This will allow us to get BIOS dumps from your computer and flash the modified BIOS image. I will perform the actual mod on a BIOS dump to preserve specific system details such as UUID, Serial Number, MAC addresses, etc. which are stored in modern UEFI images. This dump will also work as a backup in case of the off chance anything goes wrong.

Please note that there are some cases where the included clip won't work due to an inadequate connection to the chip. You will know when we start trying to get BIOS dumps. If that happens, you will need to additionally purchase the Pomona 5250 clip, as well as 8 female-to-female jumper cables to attach the new clip to the programmer. Hello again , In my current state I am not able to buy the CH341A hardware programmer. is there any other way to do it without needing any hardware tools like that ?  for example the same way you did it for the first person who made this thread also I tried bios version 307 and I was getting worse performance on that version for example in bios version 309 I get 77 fps in cod , on the other hand in the 307 I get 56 fps and just a reminder, I have the same laptop as the one who made this thread by the way with i7-10870H and 1660 Ti .

Replaced wifi card with 2 different cards one of them is bcm94360ng and it's not showing in device manager whereas old one is, tried different cards but nothing showing and hoping that there is a hidden setting in bios that might work
