You, my friend, are awesome! THank you for pointing me in the exact, right direction. If you wrote the BIOS, then double thanks!
Flashed, re-booted, NO ERRORS, booted to Windows and the card works fine. Thanks again for the help!!!

MY family Bios is 68pzd, your file is 68PDD...why?

I have a HP Dv6810us

I'm running the newest BIOS right now

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48001-48500/sp48124.exe

Can I get one with the white list removed. I have three of these laptops and this would be nice to have done.

I'm running the stock wifi card that came with it, but would like to upgrades to a wifi card that has has three antenna plugs for using my wifi whip on my work car.

I'm thinking on getting this card, GIGABYTE AirCruiser N300 GN-WS30N-RH, if I can get the bios fixed.

Thank you.

Hello,
I have a NX9420 and I recently bought a Intel WiFiLink 5100 but after I install the card the power led in on but the laptop is not even starting. I suspect the same issue with the [censored] whitelisting in the bios for the Wifi card. If I install back the original Intel ABG card laptop works ok.

Can you provide a whitelist removed bios for this laptop?
The original bios is located at:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Tec...sp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=1839153&prodNameId=1839212&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-63521-1

or direct ftp:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp40001-40500/sp40189.exe

"
Type: BIOS
Version: F.1D (11 Jul 2008)
Operating System(s): Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows Vista Business (32-bit), Microsoft Windows Vista Business (64-bit), Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise (32-bit), Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise (64-bit), Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic (32-bit), Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Microsoft Windows XP Professional
File name: sp40189.exe (1.4 MB)
"

Thanks for your time

I recently bought a TP-Link TL-WN861N (AR9223 chipset) for my NW8240 laptop and get the "incompatible device" BIOS error. I would greatly appreciate a whitelist removed BIOS.
Here is the latest BIOS from HP (68DTV, F.18, 2009/07/24): ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45086.exe

NOTE: I'm running Linux and will have to flash from my FreeDOS live USB stick using the appropriate DOS-based flash program (Uniflash, Phlash16, w/e).

There is no system but GNU, and Linux is one of its kernels
