Hi, 

my bios is currently 2.59, should I upgrade to 2.73 then do a dump or just do a dump on the 2.59 version?

Thanks Dudu2002! BIOS works great now.

In case anyone else encounters the same problem: When I used a Raspberry Pi to flash the modified BIOS the computer wouldn't POST. Reflashing my old backup still worked. After much head scratching, CMOS clearing, 30 second power button pressing... etc, Dudu2002 suggested that I use a CH341A and flash from Windows instead. Bought one from eBay and that worked great - much faster too.
