- For exactly the reason you give! Knowledge is often difficult to obtain, and unless people are willing to share it, many things become impossible - BIOS modding included.

Thanks, I have too, it's very nice of him to help us out. I was having a hard time yesterday because my disassembler wouldn't work, so i couldn't find whitelist check function. However i discovered BDMaster was kind enough to share his findings here already!
BTW if you have issues booting DOS on USB stick try entering BIOS (press small button next to power button while computer off) and set boot mode to "Legacy support".

Just picked up a Y50-70 for my partner and we intend to install OS X on it and will need to replace the WLAN. I've taken a backup of the BIOS (version 1.14) with FPTw64; it's located here:
