Works great Thanks so much!

For anyone who is curious here is a good start to finish guide.

1. download 2 files suplied by BDMaster
2. first file is a program that pulls the BIOS, 2nd file is a backup of the original bios
3. run the first file as administrator, it will put your bios file on the desktop
4. at the end of the program it will open up a browser with a place to put your newly created file
5. upload the file and record the link.
6. reply with that link to this thread so BDMaster can modify the BIOS file
7. he should respond with a link to your new BIOS file that does not have the white list
8. unpackage the .rar file and first read the README text doc
9. create a bootable usb via the link provided in the README
10. Move the files to the root of that flash dirve once it has been made bootable
11. boot to usb
12. once the os loads you will see a command prompt says c:\
13. Type flash.bat
14. it should complete took about 2-5 min
15. profit.

All credit goes to BDMaster the entire process took about 1 day waiting for reply and instillation.
I had flashed most likely a clone of someone else's BIOS about a year ago. The BIOS worked fine and the network card works great. One problem I've had is that the brightness keys jump around erratically in the BIOS/Linux/Windows. This is most likely cause of the cloned BIOS I installed? Has anyone seen this? Could flashing another clone (can't go back at this point) fix this? I'd like to sell the laptop but people think it's broken when the brightness doesn't work as intended. Sad

I, too, flashed an update file that seems to have been built for someone else. At first, my laptop didn't boot, but i pulled the CMOS battery and was able to get into the BIOS. Problem is, the computer won't boot into my Ubuntu install, I believe this is because it's a windows 8 BIOS. I can boot into the DOS live boot flash drive that i used to flash the bios, and i can see my ubuntu partitions listed in the boot menu, but when selected, the screen will go blank for approx. 30 sec. and loop back to the boot menu. Any advice?
Upload the Bios Mod You used and I will give a look to It and let You know !
Then I will prepare a Bios Mod based on Original Bios and You will reflash It replaceing
the Original Settings !
Let me know
