Tried using the UEFI winflash tool that comes with the package and I'm getting an "EFI FAIL: UNSUPPORTED!" prompt as soon as I click on the flash button.

Woohoo; got it to flash using the winflash installer that comes with the original download from Lenovo. You need to replace the "environment.dll" file with the one from the following link:

http://199.91.153.201/2ofng1s3u9xg/02zam...onment.rar

Voila; no more "unsupported" error and it flashed successfully. Now to install a new card and see if this works.

Step by step:
1. Use universal extractor to extract the .exe file from Lenovo's site to a folder.
2. Replace the .wph file with the file posted in this thread with the whitelist removed.
3. Replace environment.dll in that folder with the one from the link above.
4. Flash and test!

This is a nice one, I will try this today, and I have a spare intel 6235 which I can directly install and test. How did you find this environment.dll? And also I have another bios version installed (65cn15ww) I am not sure if it is ok to install 65cn13ww over mine. Do you know what the difference is between 15 an 13?
I did update the bios with environment.dll step from win7 and I confirm that it works. Also installed another wifi card (intel centrino 6235) and it also works.

Thanks everyone for this update.

Thanks everyone for this update.

Thanks for trying it out and thanks to SL7 for editing the file! Wish I could help on the bios version. I'm just using the latest one from Lenovo's website. The environment.dll is from another thread where users were getting the unsupported error using winflash; don't remember which one, but it was an implementation of a hex edit.
Replaced the standard NIC with a 6300. Works perfectly in dual-band and I'm getting full fios speeds. Awesome upgrade, it fixes the inherent problems with the U410 and it works perfectly in Win 8!
Glad to see it working! If you wouldn't mind, please post a confirmed thread on our site and link it here so users can find it with all the correct info and be sure to attach any outside files/mirrors on the post itself.

Nice work guys,

Hi Gentlemens,
Can you please advice the whether it is possible or not to flash this bios inside the U310 model ?
I could amend u310 bios with Slic 2.1 as well as could find the white-list bytes inside the module.
No problem to edit the list, but is there any crc check within specific module or i can modify any byte ?
Please support.

p.s. for some reason Lenovo decided to delete all bios files from their site, although the files still available on server.
Any suggestion for this ?
U310 and U410 have the same BIOS as I know, you can still use the same procedure explained here. Since I have U410 I confirm that it works for it, but also should work for U310. You can still download the original BIOS from lenovo, but just download the modified BIOS from this thread and it should work.
Thanks, will try. Need to understand now, the possibility to open the case without breaking th e waranty Smile

I am also getting this error too as I am trying to flash via DOS. The problem is that lenovo took the winflash executable off of the website, LAST NIGHT! Any chance someone has winflash .exe? If not, I found a vanilla UEFI winflash loader but I'm not sure what settings to use, any chance of those instead?
