I am hoping that I can jump on the bandwagon here and have my BIOS updated so that I can install a new wifi card.

Please find backup made just now with Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0:

LENOVO-65CN21WW.rom

Would it be possible to remove the whitelist?

Actually, I think I have found a modded BIOS that should work.

I have looked 'under the hood' and the only thing changed between this BIOS and the one available on the Lenovo web site is a single assembly instruction.

I get the new wifi card tomorrow and will post back with whether it worked or not.
