Now we are talking but I keep getting an error saying that it cannot run the UEFI emulator. What else do I need to do before I can install this .wph file?
I am still having no luck with this, everything I try fails and it won't load. Is the bios file itself corrupt?

And also I have another bios version installed (65cn15ww) I am not sure if it is ok to install 65cn13ww over mine. Do you know what the difference is between 15 an 13?

I am facing the same problem - i also have the 15-version. have you installed the 13-version over the 15 one and got it working? also, could you - or anyone else - please provide the 65CN13WW.exe since lenovo removed it from their support site?

Hi,

I tired to flash the bios following the instructions made by AHMED MOSSAM
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-HO...BIOS--7426

and the following error message appeard:

Regards,

I am also getting this error too as I am trying to flash via DOS. The problem is that lenovo took the winflash executable off of the website, LAST NIGHT! Any chance someone has winflash .exe? If not, I found a vanilla UEFI winflash loader but I'm not sure what settings to use, any chance of those instead?

Could you please tell me how exactly you dump the BIOS file from lenovo laptop then remove the white list? I want to do it with my Z580 (Windows 8).... The wifi on that also sucks...

Agreed! I am at 65CN13WW right now but could still use the installer to get the bios loaded. Otherwise, if someone could shed some light on how to over come the "Cannot launch UEFI emulator" error that I am getting with the Vanilla UEFI installer. I have tired so many different ways to flash this including booting into a x32 livecd of 7. I have tried phlash16 which apparently does not work. I have never had so much trouble flashing a bios in my life!
Anybody who wants the stock installer and files to whitelist, I was able to get the .exe from the lenovo forums. You will need to extract the files from the .exe and the password is "lenovo." You will also need to copy over the bios.wph and enviroment, dll files to make this work. Make sure that you rename the stock bios.

hi scottie,

thank you for sharing this!

i'm still wondering why lenovo removed this driver from their site..
i just flashed it as described on page 2 with deathmetalscottis files and it works perfectly. my intel centrino does a much better job than the qualcomm adapter my ideapad came with.

I'm facing the same issue with the "Cannot launch UEFI emulator" error immediately when I attempt to flash using the included Winflash UEFI installer. Does anyone know how to/did you eventually resolve this? I followed the steps on page 2 using scottie's files, thank you.
