Hello, I'm looking to switch out the defective wifi network card in my U310, and would appreciate if someone could please modify the BIOS to accept it, thank you.

BIOS: Phoenix BIOS
[Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0] BIOS Backup: https://www.sendspace.com/file/lxq2xc
[BDMasters BACKUP_Tools.exe] BIOS Backup: https://www.sendspace.com/file/02f4ue

PCI ID: PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4357&SUBSYS_E021105B&REV_01
Link: http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/14e4/4357

P.S.: If anyone could point me to a starting point for learning how to modify the BIOS whitelist on my own, I would be grateful. Don't want to have to constantly ask others to do it for me.

P.S.S.: Lenovo offers a BIOS update for the U310 here, though it is self-extracting, and appears to immediately run the BIOS update upon execution.
You need a backup from both tool or is one enough ?

Orginal Bios from Lenovo : http://rghost.net/59247542
Universal Bios Backup : http://rghost.net/59226087

Any chance you could help out one more time? Please find the requires files here. I'm planning on using an Intel WiFi link 5300.

I also have 2 identical computers, could I use the same solution on both machines?

Thank you so much for helping so many people!

Also, am I able to use some of the mods provided to others? As long as it's for a u410 should it still work on my machine?

Ok friend,
using same Bios Mod for many machines will clone all Laptops to be the same (Equal UUID, Serial, Model, Win key) so
not useful !!!
Bios Mod is done on Bios Backup so customized.

Your solution worked great, thank you so much for the help. I certainly sent you a little gift, if only Lenovo or IBM or Microsoft or any company could provide the high quality advice folks like you provide. Keep it up!
Worked like a charm, no problems at all. As soon as a friend repays me on paypal I'll make a donation. Thank you very much.
