Full Version: [REQUEST] Lenovo IdeaPad U310 & U410 (65CNxxWW) Whitelist Removal

Hello,

I hope that this is the right place to post this and that is follows the format. I would like to flash a BIOS that bypasses the white list. Ideally, I would like to do the mod myself using UEFIPatch, but I am unsure of how to obtain or create the appropriate patches.txt file. All of the previous shared files of this type are now gone. Can anyone off guidance here?
Thanks!

I'm fixing up a U410 for my little bro, and I'd appreciate it if someone could help me whitelist the BIOS.

Hi friend,

Unfortunately this didn't work for me. Now my OEM wifi card isn't recognized either. I have re-flashed the stock 65CN21WW file from lenovo, performed a CMOS reset by removing the battery, but it still isn't recognized. Will you please take a look for me? Thanks! https://www.sendspace.com/file/g7r3zw
Ok friend,
just to clarify the U310 and U410 have the same Bios Version (It's the same code) !
So the wrong name does't not matter and You are quaite, 2nd your Bios Mod was realized on your Bios Backup !
It's strange that It didn't work on your laptop as user before, PinkPartyPony used this mod useful !
Your new Bios Backup is different than previous and this is strange !!!

Thank you very much. I installed the BIOS from http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn21ww.exe

After that I removed the laptop battery and the CMOS battery and let it reset, then plugged them back in and booted into windows. After that I rebooted onto USB DOS and did the backup.
Could I request a BIOS mod to remove the white list?
BIOS version is: 65CN97WW

Here is the fpt backup: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1140...backup.ROM

Thanks!

Ok I wiil trplace the new PCI / VEN ID so please post here the original and the new IDs !
The new is Azurewave AW-CE123H: PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_43B1&SUBSYS_21231A3B
I think, but I need the original too !
Let me know
Regards

P.S. I think that Azurewave WiFi Card is not compatible as if laptop doesn't switch on It's not
a Whitelist issue ! normaly It would be splash on video an alert and lock laptop "104-Unsup . . ."
